The Solihull Approach is a not-for-profit organisation proud to offer many online courses for parents for free, but some do have a small price tag to help us cover our running costs.
We are working with partners around the country and the world to fund our offer so that you can access all of our courses and learn more about children’s emotional development completely for free.
Our free access checker is a discovery tool to help you find out if you’re in a partner-funded area. If you are, you can unlock all of our courses at no cost and set up an account, which means you will have lifetime access to learn with us!

We are here to support your understanding of your child, your relationships, and emotional health. Many of our parent learners describe our courses as transformational; we hope you find something here for you!
We work with partners in local authorities around the UK and internationally to fund a multi-user licence for towns, cities and regions. This means anyone living in those areas can gain free access to our courses. Our free access checker can quickly check your postcode to tell us if you’re in one of our funded areas. If you are, we can quickly create your profile to start learning.
We need your email address to verify your identity and to set up your account. You will only be contacted by email in relation to your account and any courses you choose to follow.
Don’t worry if our checker doesn’t find you free access. We are working hard to grow our network to establish wider coverage and make our courses free for everyone. These courses introduce many of the important themes covered in our longer courses. Our antenatal courses are also completely free for everyone in the UK.
You can view all of our courses on our course listing, and you’ll see that free courses are clearly marked separately from our paid-for courses. Prices for these courses vary between £5-49. Just click on the courses for full details about the cost and what to expect. Once you purchase a course, you’ll have lifetime access, so you can take your time and revisit the Modules any time you like.
To follow our courses, we create an account using your email address and a few additional details to make sure you can check in and out of your course without losing your progress. Following our courses is personal and completely private to you. We don’t save individual records and we cannot share your course information with anyone else but you.
Great! We have been using access codes with our sponsor partners for a few years. These local area access codes can still be used to get your free access and start learning. Just type in your code into the access code box on any of our courses, and you’ll see them released at no cost.
